I would like to relocate to Cheyenne, WY to be closer to my Son, daughter-in-law, and grandchildren. Problem is I don't know anyone else there. I've been told that it is tax friendly but what about people? Is it difficult to meet friends? Are there a lot of Military retirees ?

There are a lot of military retirees. Many liked the area and stayed. Others have migrated there due the the VA hospital and services.

I wouldn't say it's difficult to make friends. Not if you have interests that take you out of the house. Church, volunteering, etc. In my experience, people in Wyoming are generally friendly. You run into the situation where others already have family and long time friends they are committed to, but still there are many opportuntities to be involved socially.

Thanks. That helps a lot. On the East Coast, 55+ condo communities are common. Do they exist in Cheyenne?

A few. Neighbors are moving elderly in-laws to Whispering Chase this week, which is a fairly new condo development/assisted living complex on the East side of Cheyenne.

As well, many of the neighboring small communities have elder living/assisted living facilities. Worth looking into, IMO.
