I am interested in applying for jobs with the Coal Mines Between Gillette and Douglas Wyoming but have not found much information on how to do that. I have contacted ManPower in Gillette and I have looked at peabodyenergy.com and wyomingworkforce.com and several other places but have had no luck, if anyone has advice please let me know. Please email me at chad-hopkins@hotmail.com

Since your question hasn’t been answered yet, I thought I would provide the only, (and perhaps, insignificant?), information that I know of which might help you in your quandary.

I live in Hanna, WY, and where coal mining use to be a boom, and from what is being heard around here now, is starting up again, and may soon someday be again be booming here. However, I personally know nothing about the business, and not for this region, or the one you’ve mentioned.

You might try looking at this Wyoming job website for an answer; https://www.wyomingatwork.com/ . And when looking under “coal miners & shipping” in my local phone book, (again, not for the area you’ve mentioned), there is this business/phone number, and which phone number is that of a Hanna, WY, phone number; Cyprus Shoshone Coal Corp. 307-325-9471.

Good Luck!

Default coal mines

Try looking for Rio Tinto. I think they own most of the mines between Gillette and Douglas.

www.mine-hire.com
Check out this site. I noticed some mining jobs around the Gillette area on there. Also if you are interested in relocating Bridger Coal in Point of Rocks, WY (near Rock Springs) is offering some serious money for their underground miners. Good Luck!

Howdy! The correct URL to the site above is http://www.MineHire.com (broken link).

I own a search firm specialized in the mining sector, and I've been posting all of my jobs there. It's growing rapidly, so I hope more Wyoming coal companies decide to post their jobs there. Would make it much easier for job seekers, IMO.

Cheers,

John

Munshine, Have you heard about the company that is going to build a coal to fuels plant in Medicine bow ? They are named DKRW and will be opening a coal mine to support the fuels plant. Should be a good size plant and a small boom to the area. Sinclair in Rawlins will be marketing the fuel.

Just wanted to let you all know we're in the middle of a major upgrade. We upgraded our software & our IT department is working on putting content on the site now. We have a good number of jobs posted, so I think you'll be pleased with that when you visit, but please pardon our "remodeling dust" and know that soon all the links will be live and it will be tons easier to use.

Thanks,
Stacie
