Hi all : ) My fiancee and I are looking to move to this area or the Anderson/Greenville area soon. We are both early twenties, enjoy fishing, hunting, hiking, pretty much anything outdoors. I will be looking for a vet tech school, and my fiancee is looking for a law enforcement agency. Rock Hill PD is processing his application right now, and he has the York County Sheriff's Office application saved to the computer. Just wondering if anyone knows if York Cty Sheriff's Office is hiring, or any information about either agency. i.e his chances of getting hired non-certified etc. Any information about the area itself will be great, too. Thank you! : )

Thank you for that. They were processing his application when I posted this, but has since contacted him and asked him to reapply in six months because of the overflow of certified officer applications. Unfortunately, it's tough right now to find somewhere hiring non-certified exclusively and with all the out of work certified officers, the one's that are not yet certified but have a strong passion for the line of work get pushed to the side. It's all a money game right now, and not many agencies are looking to shell out the money to put a new guy through the academy Hopefully things turn around soon! We will be in Anderson Dec. 21-23 for his corrections interview. We're praying for the best!
