Route 460? (Springfield: live, business, places)

Since when is Gold Hill Road route 460? What was the reason for this? The road isnt very long at all.

My wife and I were asking the same question the other day. That road has many different names; Gold Hill becomes Springfield Parkway at I-77 it's also known as Business 21, Truck 160, now this 460 thing.

Edit: Apparently it was just named that last month. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/South_Carolina_Highway_460

I've lived in many different places from the NE to the SE, West Coast, & Overseas, and I've never seen a place where they give the same road so many different names - it's crazy for new residents to try and learn where they're going. ...still love it though!
