Good morning! Been doing a bit of reading here lately due to a potential relocation I may have next spring or summer. The topics discussed on here so far have been informative. Obviously, I will make a few trips to the area, but wanted to start narrowing my choices down a little bit. Plugging commute time in an online calculator is one thing, but I am looking for some drive time estimates from people with boots on the ground.

What kind of real world commute time AM/PM can be expected from the Walnut creek area (521/rt75 ) to I485 & Johnston Rd leaving at say 730am? Then heading back around 445pm?

Your best tool is google maps and use their "leave by" feature. It gives an estimated time of travel based on daily averages.

Based on traffic you'd be hitting the absolute worse of it during those times, but I don't know what the travel time would be.

It takes me close to 25 minutes from US 521 and SC 160 intersection in rush hour.

I almost bought a house last year in that neighborhood but finally decided not to because of commute time.
