Hi all,

I was a loyal Farmer's Insurance customer before I moved here, but they don't serve South Carolina. I went with Allstate due to a local recommendation. But, I just learned my brother had a bad experience with them and switched.

Who do you use in South Carolina? Have you filed a claim and were you satisfied?

Thanks.

It is my recommendation that you contact an indepent agent, possibly Springs Insurance on Hwy 521 in Indian Land and ask them to quote you a
HO3 with Travelers and with Kemper. They basically have the same coverage except back up of sewer limit is higher on the Travelers policy.

We went with Kemper because they have an annul auto policy which ties in the rates for 1 year where Travelers is written on a six month basis.
Also, Kemper policy allows you to combine your building and contents coverage at the time of a claim so that you can use the combined limit for either loss. As an example, if you have a tornado and your house is damaged but you have little contents damage the coverage combined
ex $100,000 on bldg and $50,000 on contents would apply to this loss not just $100,000.

If you do not understand and would like more information, please let me know.

Travelers and Kemper have excellent claims service in this area and you will be happy with either company.

Sincerely,

Dunroven
