There are many interpretations, ideas and theories floating around in regards to Revelation 7 and the 144,000 who are sealed. I think it's time to address this issue and bring a clear, fresh perspective. Revelation is full of mystery and symbolism. We must apply the same logic to this chapter as we do the others.

The first question I want to ask when someone tells me their interpretation:

Is God a respecter of persons?

1 Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

God is a mystery by design. Why? Why did He decide to make it a mystery?

Jesus spoke in parables. And the disciples asked Him why He did this.

I've encountered a lot of Christians in my short lifetime. When speaking with them about their beliefs I always hear a lot of different plans for salvation. There are at least three beliefs that are very common. The one that seems to be the most popular is "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved" which comes from Acts 16:31.
