So Cal to TN relocation -- Crime concerns?

Saw your post on moving to Tn, did you end up moving to Knoxville area?
I am in San Diego and want to move there, what are your thoughts if you ended up out there?

Thanks for the reply, is Strawberry Plains a good place or is Maryville better to live with access to Knoxville, just looking at housing in both areas. They both seem rural and the houses are at least spread apart a little.
