The East Granby Fire Department does Neighborhood visits for kids. This year they not only had the fire truck for kids to get in and sit in; they also had the ambulance. The Ambulance had dummy that the kids got to learn about CPR on. Both the Fire Truck and Ambulance were fully stocked and everyone was very helpful telling the kids about all of the equipment and how it was used. 32 life size sculptures are on display in Simsbury until September 15, 2018. They are located through out the town. Can you find them all?

If you are looking for ice cream before or after a flight, check out Dairy Cream on Rte. 75 in Windsor Locks. They have fun flavors like Dirty Water, Swamp and Quicksand. They have picnic tables outside to eat your ice cream. The lines can get long in the evening but usually go pretty quickly.

East Granby has one parade each year on Memorial Day. It begins at 10AM at the Elmwood Cemetery on Nicolson Road.

There are 3 places to get pizza in town that are relatively close together.

1. J & G Restaurant & Lounge - 35 S Main St. - They have been in business the longest. Most of the pizzas have a traditional red sauce, a slightly thicker crust and is cut into squares for people who prefer that. The wait time for pick up in my experience is generally 20-25 minutes. They do not offer delivery.
