My input will make this little more than a diary. However, if any interest is shown or comments made, I will try to address any issue raised by others. Current news focuses on the military occupation of Juarez and on the City's notoriety for being the homicide capital of North America. But my view of the City covers many decades, none of which have been so gruesome as our current situation. I am also interested in Mexican literature, history, and music.
Although I live here in Juarez and enjoy the interests I mentioned, I am not an academic, and I claim no expertise in my interests. My points of view are nothing more than my points of view. I have been known to contradict myself, and I am subject to changes of opinion. Those who demand more rigorous standards be applied to expressed ideas and views would be better served on other Blogs.

Please bear with me. This is an experimental first-post effort.
I will delete it just as soon as I get the hang of how to post, how to use the blog. I hope this effort is not against the rules.
