Conflicted feelings about a former friend who passed away

I just learned that a former friend of over 30 years, from whom I had drifted away, passed away a little over a year ago.

I have such conflicted feelings. On one hand I feel sad that she's no longer with us, but on the other hand I feel disconnected and numb about her passing. She is the one who inspired and caused me to move to Phoenix which was a very good experience for me, even though she moved away a year later.

I do know that she's probably happy to be gone....
