Moving to Houston soon

Posted 11-02-2009 at 11:27 AM by waf001

We may be moving to Houston within the year and we are trying to figure out the school situation. Ideally, we would like a school with excellent academics, a diverse student body, a wide variety of extra-curricular activities, and a robust gifted and talented program. My children currently attend an private independent school geared toward gifted & talented students and are active in a ton of activities inside and outside of school.

My kids have also had French every day since kindergarten, and recently started Chinese as well. So I'd like a program where they can continue to have foreign language instruction as part of the curriculum. They are middle school and high school aged.

Several colleagues have pointed to the John Cooper School, Kincaid, Memorial, and Seven Lakes. Any feedback/suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
