What part of NC would suite me?

Posted 10-13-2008 at 04:46 PM by Tony_Fabs

Hello,
I am currently living in New Jersey and hate it here. I am thinking about moving to North Carolina but not sure what part. I am looking for a rural town that is not far from a metro city, such as Greensboro, Charlotte, or Asheville. One that is conservative in nature. An area with good shopping. Most importantly, one that would be the best area for my job skills, which is in the accounting field for corporates. I understand that the market is not right for job seekers right now, but this would be for the future, about a year or so from now.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I live in Greensboro, so I have to recommend it. There's plenty to do, a gorgeous new shopping area, plus traffic is really not an issue. There are more rural areas all around, like Kernersville, Oak Ridge, Summerfield, Pleasant Garden, Randleman, etc. Not sure what the job market is like for accountants, but I would think pretty good. I'm a realtor, but giving you this info as a resident here for 23 years. Good luck!
