Whining a little... Part 2

Well, I do appreciate all the good suggestions, but I think this is a situation that is essentially "unfixable" ...at least in this life. I know this will make me sound bad, but... it's the ugly truth. As I mentioned in my first post, I'm not someone who's been especially fond of being around other people's children. I have a real heart for the plight of children, but the fact of the matter is ~~sometimes they get on my nerves. Yep, I've confessed it!
Now...Aaron was different. I'm sure there were times when he also got on my nerves, but as my own child, the bond we shared was so strong that I could overlook bratty behavior for the most part if you know what I mean! (I could also tell him to knock it off if he was bothering me too much!) I just don't think I would have that feeling with someone else's children or grandchildren. I wish I could say I would, but ...
Yes, my husband and I have kicked around the idea of foreign adoption and I have considered the possibility of foster parenting, but neither option, I don't believe, is something my husband is interested in pursuing seriously. I am 52, and he is 54. I think he feels past that point in life if that makes sense. If the Lord wants us to pursue something, I think He would have to make it clear in a really BIG way.
Otherwise, I just covet your prayers to help heal what is essentially broken dreams.

KK, how about you get a dog They are loveable, loyal and don't ask "Are we there yet?" everytime you take them for a ride.

Sister kaykay, praying that God will mend that hole in your heart or fill it with something wonderful.
