I made it! I'm here now. I live right above Table Rock Lake on the top of a hill. It is beautiful. I was planning on staying at one of the resorts until I found a place to buy. Now that I'm here, I'm toying with buying a couple of acres and building my log cabin dream. I'll write more about that later. In the meantime, I'll be renting and I love that I have a full-time place to be rather than a resort. Once those summertime rates kick in at the resorts, I'd have to find somewhere else to be and now I don't as I'm in a private residence. That's a huge relief.

A nice couple (he works as a craftsman at Silver Dollar City) answered my Craigslist ad about looking for a place to rent and now I have the lower level of a house that is far above-ground with trees all around. I love the layout and it's so nice to have my things out again. My Saint Bernard is loving her luxurious life here, so that makes me very happy.
