The search for a home in Cincinnati

Well I've never really written a blog but I figure it will be interesting to come back and look at this one day. Also I am open to suggestions and will check frequently as to what everyone has to say. So with out boring you all any longer here is my situation. I am a full time College student and attend classes in Harrison. Also I will in the future have to attend classes in Clifton from time to time. I work full time at a factory in the West Chester/Fairfield Area to pay the bills (of which I don't really have at the moment besides tuition fees). My fiance is a full time student as well and attends classes in Batavia, She works part time. We are looking for a place that is in between these two areas. Some where that we can drive about an equal distance though one of us can drive a bit further because I have a car that's great on gas and a truck that isn't even remotely good on gas. Our Maximum price that we could spend is 750 a month. We could spend more but we don't want to get ahead of our selves. I prefer a small house because I like the space and a yard and also I am quite fond of garages. When I was younger my step father had a small place on Marilyn lane in North College hill it had a basement unfinished, and a second floor/attic, also it had a nice little backyard and a nice detached garage. I'm not too sure but i believe he paid somewhere in that price range and this was I don't know six years ago? She doesn't really mind if it is an apartment or house but is starting to agree with me more and more every day. I also want to make sure that it is in a neighborhood that will be safe for her in case I get called in for overtime and have to leave in the wee hours in the morning. Most places that I have looked into were posted on craigslist (which as I have learned on here is a not so good idea). If anyone has any suggestions on any useful websites or resources I could try that would be awesome. Also if anyone has any properties they have that sound like something I'm looking for that would be appreciated greatly.

Sooo.. does anyone have any ideas on how we can find our first place?
