Moving from Columbus, OH to Denver, CO

Posted 01-15-2013 at 02:38 PM by Standuppaddlehawaii13

Hello everyone.
My boyfriend and I want to move from Columbus, OH to Denver, CO in the next year or so. We are both in healthcare and will most likely work at one of Denver's hospitals.

I'd like to get an advice on where to live. We don't care about school districts (have no kids). We both love being outdoors. I'm looking for an area with parks, trails and would love a neighborhood with old tall trees. I don't mind older homes. We will be renting and are okay spending around $1500-1700 per month. Besides trees, I'd like a house with a decent yard as we have a huge dog. I'd prefer not driving too far for work but am okay with a 30 min commute. I'd like to be able to ride a bike or walk to some coffee shops, bakeries, etc.

Please give me some advice on what neighborhoods we should focus on... Thanks!!
