Cat's breath really bad - what might it mean?

yes my cat chrissy her breath has gotten really bad and her eating habbits have changed,i got antibiotics for her but i cant get them down her i tried putting them in food,crushing them and putting them in water and tried forcing them down nothings working,and shes getting worse i think shes got and abcessed tooth but not sure cause i cant afford to take to the vet yet anything i can do for her in the mean time to comfort her..

Years ago one of our babies (cats) got bad breath and had to have a couple of teeth pulled. Then another year later a couple more. Then two more and we finally asked what it would cost to pull them all. It was expensive, but ended up being about half of what it would be if we kept going back for one or two at a time, plus they would have to put her under each time, which is dangerous. Whenever we had to give her medicine though we always found it best to take a bath towel and to completely wrap her in it with her head barely able to come out and then use our fingers to pry open her tiny mouth and drop the pills at the back of her throat and then hold it closed and rub her throat until she swallowed it. She hated it, but we were able to get the medicine down. Without it, they will get worse.Posted 01-26-2013 at 07:21 PM by SHOCK77777
