Turns out that several of us that were at the same event in the north metro area got sick. Event took place on Friday night and it wasn't until after church, Sunday morning( a good Lutheran service, exactly 59 minutes long with the sermon lasting only 12 minutes) that I started feeling badly. Slept all the rest of Sunday and this morning. Got up only to feed my beef cattle. Surprising how much longer it takes when you feel like you got run over by a herd of beef cattle.

Can somebody explain to me why things have to happen at the most inopportune moments......... Like water freezing in the barn when you don't feel good.

Starting to feel better. Tomorrow I will get those oak logs milled for a friend of mine. He dropped off 15. We have a small band saw mill and there is nothing more rewarding than watching the logs get made into absolutely gorgeous lumber. Wish I had the patience to do wood working.. Some guys do great work. All for now.

Strippers leaving the area

Posted 02-02-2009 at 01:26 PM by WestWisGuy

Gossip during the church coffee hour included a conversation on how some ladies that were stripping in some Mpls clubs have left our small town. "Good ridance" one would remark with disgust. Seems the parable of not pointing at someone's sliver in ther eye when they have a log in theirs falls on deaf ears. Not that I am in favor either but who am I to judge.

Glad to see this warm weather coming. Days are getting longer and a little more heat to the sun. Not near as depressing. This has been a long winter no wonder alcohal consumption is high in this area.
