Good luck with your venture and please stock London Pride beer! 😄😄

I know this is an old post but I just happened to check it and can't stop myself from getting on my "true neighborhood pub" soap box.

We wondered the same thing about our favorite pub in Austin, TX. What was it that drew us there? It was an Irish pub but still ...

We found that anthropologists have studied neighborhood pubs, or locals, in various countries and similar characteristics come up: unpretentious, undemanding, welcoming, social, with a mix of people. The staff interacts, rather than just serves. You go regularly rather than once in a while.

I won't ramble on but we need more places like that in the U.S. I hope you found one in your new town.
