The want for people to become independant.

Posted 08-14-2015 at 02:44 PM by SilverPlatter

That want that people have to become independent. I just don't understand it, and I probably never will. I am an adult who has lots of problems socializing in person with people. I have a very low tolerance for long periods of high activity, but I have tried to do as much as I can do. One of the many ways I relax myself is by gaming and collecting. They are my two biggest hobbies, and they don't come cheap. If I had to give both of those up, I would probably go insane.

Fortunately, many of the people around me personally understand this, so I wasn't just kicked onto the streets like many people are when they come of age.

Speaking of age, the longer that time passes, the more I see age as merely a number. Why should I be expected to do so and so just because of how long I've been on this planet?!

I created a topic in the parenting forum regarding these things, and it blew up larger than I ever could have imagined. I can't even go back there now because I'll get clawed to death for sure. I was expecting negativity, but not as much as I was reading on there. I bet one of the posters on there will probably stumble onto this blog and post it on there. I really don't care at this point.

As it stands, I will continue to live my life, and take advantage of anything that is within my comfort zone.
