At my current house, I could replace the ventilator from inside, but at the new house at least one of the ventilators can only be accessed from the roof....meaning I won't be doing a DIY on that one. I have read some negative comments about power ventilators along the lines that they don't save energy and don't save your shingles. I am not sure I will replace the dead ones on the new house....... How effective are the different attic ventilation methods? I read mixed reviews, and many have a commercial bias. | Green Home Guide
. When I need a new roof at the new house, I would probably go with a ridge vent.
