Canada is on its way to privatizing medical care
Public healthcare is the worst. My father in law lives in Europe under Government run healthcare. Very recently he needed an amputations in his feet due to diabetes. There was about a 1.5-2 year wait list for an amputation! He was going to die if it wasn't amputated. The Government wanted to amputate his entire leg. He wound up paying the whole thing out of pocket (not even insurance or any system for covering him) and they were able to amputate a couple toes instead of his entire leg. The costs were so great, they put him into a room with 10 other people of amputations for recovery. The amputations weren't a big deal to him compared to the PST of being stuck in a room for 2 weeks of all these people going through severe amputations which was far worse then the whole deal to begin with, and only apparently 1 nurse.
Bad medical service happens in the USA too. Having lived with and had access to USA and Canadian healthcare (/unlike most of you)., I have had sub par medical experiences in USA and in Canada. Canada has had private options for years...mist Canadians don't use it.

Why do Americans feel they have to find fault with other systems? Why do Americans refuse to acknowledge faults in their health care systems and focus on fixing them?
