Bill Murray was Right: "It Just Doesn't Matter."

I forget the movie where Bill coaches his team of misfits prior to the Big Game, but the central theme is: "Even if God lines up on YOUR side of the Field .... it JUST DOESN'T Matter."

My husband kept a recording of that pep talk to play to himself for decades. It used to BUG me to NO END. Of course IT MATTERS! EveryTHING MATTERS!! my tortured brain would scream out at me in denial. THIS (anything and everything) MATTERS.

What a dolt I was then. God/Allah/Brahma forgive me. I knew not....

I used to think I had control over my life, my world, MY everything. I MATTERED. Sheesh. Now, I KNOW that NOTHING Matters.

Give it up to God/Allah/Brahma -- the name doesn't matter. Don't believe in a Universal Divine -- it doesn't matter, rest your soul in the Buddha. Not a God, but a practice.

Bottom line, as an infant struggling in its bed clothes, you are powerless, but it doesn't matter, because there is a universal conspiracy for your good.

Why do I say that? Because evil destroys itself. Only goodness prevails the test of time. So, whatever you do, or any else does, no matter.
