Callouses form on the heart..

Callouses on the heart.
A barrier for protection.
Callouses form on the heart just like callouses form on our feet or our hands.

A callous is the heart's built-in protection against something the mind can't handle, lest the mind be LOST.

Human beings are not as cold as they pretend to be, imho, when it comes to their belief in eternal torment. At their core, they also find the belief to be repugnant to say the least. However, in order to keep believing it, they have to dull it down. Push it out of their HEARTS. It may still exist in their minds, but if it does not exist in their HEART, then they will never be able to FEEL what they beleive. Having a belief in your heart is vital because the heart is the HOLY SPIRIT's territory. The Holy Spirit is the one who goes in and does the refining.... If the belief is not in your heart, and only in your mind, then the Holy Spirit cannot do it's work (for the most part, IMHO.)

A person who understands the truth of God's love for all does not need to have a calloused heart, because the heart joyfully embraces the GOOD NEWS, the glad tidings which are for ALL people.

A calloused heart is one that is in danger of never realizing the truth of our Creator's nature. Once the walls (callouses) are built around the heart, I think it can be difficult for them to come down. Only because the heart feels protected, and it's a safe place to sit. You can still have your beliefs yet not have to really feel the horrors of it.
You have to FEEL what you believe in order for false beliefs to be torn down and destruct, paving the way for truth to lay down it's foundation.

If you believe in eternal torment... and you are not everyday crying and suffering over it... then your heart is calloused. A person may not be ready to go through that journey to breaking down that belief. So the callouses remain and no amount of words, essays, discussions are going to do a bit of good. A person may still need to have those callouses. A person may not be ready to go through having those callouses REMOVED.

I don't think most people who believe in literal neverending hell (eternal torment) are cold, heartless people. Not at all... I just think their belief is only in their mind for the most part. The handful of people I have come across (there have been a few) who have seemed very happy about eternal torment have been people who have shielded themselves so intensley against their beliefs that those callouses are so incredibly thick that they COULD laugh and express "joy" even if it was their own child or spouse or mother in eternal torments. This to me, is an EXTREMELY calloused heart, but perhaps a heart that at it's core beneath those callouses is very soft and had to build layer upon layer upon layer upon layer of protection around it, do you understand what I'm saying?? The most calloused heart there is, may have started as one of the SOFTEST or largest hearts in the beginning. But in order for it to protect itself, the callouses formed and got thicker and thicker and thicker.... until the heart is completely lame and non-functional. <--- and that is dangerous.

The heart is CRUCIAL, VITAL to the discovery of truth.
Without it... you sit in darkness.
That is a fact.


God is the master heart surgeon who can remove those callouses, help you feel what you believe and get you on the right path to discovering His true nature...which is LOVE.
All human beings are safe in God's hand.
Not one will be lost.
