Now that your unpacked and got to test drive the area for a bit, encountered some locals and yokels, and hopefully some actual people that moved to the area from your home town or state its time to list the likes you have of your new or semi-new, or heck if the area is your native home than by all means and ways list what you like! Y'all got it? Well here goes!

Weather! You like or not!
Year round flowers!
Long springs!
Longer Autumns!
Shorts year round! For the hearty ones that is.
Variety of sub divisions to chose from!
Snow is a neat event versus a ho-hum not again event!
No rust on older cars! Amazing if your from the Northeast!
Can fish year round without cutting holes in the water (ice) for us North Easterners!
Pretty country side is usually only 5 minutes or less from where you live anywhere in the triangle.
People R People. No matter what they say!
Day trip to Mountains!
Day trip to Ocean!
And in a lot cases no trip at all to the many lakes, ponds, river, and streams that spot the area!
Good food can be had by all and more is always welcome irregardless if they are called viddles or pickins!
Out away from the city lights the sky at night explodes with the many stars that fill the emptiness of space with the occasional flying star to catch a dream or two on!
Groceries can be cheaper but we all have to eat!

Sure it takes time to get use to this place, remember the place you came from was called home and that is never a easy place to replace! But give it time, explore the area and get involved and this place too will be your new home not only in name but in feeling!

May the triangle, RDU, RTP, Crossroads, the Quay, Wake Forest, Knightdale, Apex, Raleigh, Durham, Zebulon, Oxford, Mossisville, Franklinton, Youngsville, Chapel Hill, Henderson, ...seems like I am forgetting somewhere....????......Oh yea! and Cary, be with you!

Oh Tarheels! I forgot to number the above as I did say I would count thy ways!

Wake Forest, NC. located in Wake County NC. Some call it Wake's Forest of the Triangle....Ok maybe that's just me. But if you come from the North East, Wake Forest seems to fit. It has some rolling hills and many farming areas.

It has a small town feel but close to Raleigh, you could be down town Raleigh, depending on time of day in about 15 to 30 minutes. You can be at the Virginia border in less than an hour.

It has old Historical homes and some new subdivisions. It certainly worth a look see if your looking and seeing the area. It has transplants from New Jersey, New York, and many other NE State and Mid West and California and....well you get the idea people from all over this great country now calls Wake Forest home!

C'mon down, over, left, or right and check it out you may just like what you see.

Monday March 18, 2013 and its a raining 38.8 heading on up to a cool 55. What what a wonderful weekend weather wise, activity wise, and just plain green wise! St. Patty's Day green that is! Luck of the shamrock to you!

It was a great weekend to be outside and that is what I did. Got lot's of little jobs done outside. I managed to fix my broken down wheel barrow. Last fall when I was fall-in some dead trees, no pun intended, I managed to have one fall directly on one of the wheel barrow handles and snap it in two. I was going to replace the wheel barrow but was able to squeeze some more use out of it! I took down a bird feeder I had made that basically was tore apart by the squirrel population. They gnawed at end and broke it apart and as I had taken it down a set it on the burn pile I saw that the pole it was on was a 2"x2" board which was exactly the size I need to replace the broken handle. So I brought the wheel barrow into the shop for some reconditioning. I took the broken handle off and married it up with the broken off piece which gave me a nice pattern to copy. With a few cuts and 4 drilled holes I was assembling the wheel barrow with its new handle. Tightened up all the bolts, pumped some fresh air into the tire, fixed the split in the wheel barrow itself, WD-40 the wheel bearings and by afternoon I was hauling dirt to the garden. Sweet! Sweet, hauling, sweet!

Topped the weekend off with a nice bonfire last night but had to cut it short as the winds kicked up and were really fanning the flames and sparks into the night sky. But all in all it was a wonderful weekend..........

Quote of the day Neil LaBute:

"We live in a disposable society. It's easier to throw things out than fix them. We even give it a name - we call it recycling."

Happy Monday, and albeit a broken wheel barrow or a failed relationship///don't throw it out! Work to fix it, recycle it, just do it!

Tuesday March 19. 2013 and its 40.0 degrees outside heading on up to 72 degrees with morning showers. Last evening there was a bit of lightning and thunder that ushered in the rain. Spring can't be to far off.....But after today's low 70's the mid to upper 50's are back til early next week.

March was the month we anticipated the upcoming fishing season. For us it started in earnest the second week of April when trout opened up. March was the month to stock up on fishing supplies. Before the days of the Big Box Mart there was a large Department store near us that had a huge fishing and hunting area. Every spring they would have a blow out pre-fishing season sale. We us to go up there on a Saturday, it took about a half hour to get there.

The store was huge even in today's standards. They sold everything. We would head right for the sporting goods department. We would load up on Snell Hooks, 20 packs for a $1 and each pack had 5 hooks with leaders. We would pick a variety of sizes, from #8 to #2. One dollar worth would last the season. Bobbers would be 10 for a $1. Lures were 5 for a $1. Whenever we went to that sale we knew fishing season was not far off.

Now that giant department store was not the only place we would visit to buy our fishing and camping supplies. We also hit small Mom and Pop sporting goods stores. One was near my Uncles plant he worked at. It was a sporting goods store that was in the first floor and basement of the owners house. In fact we bought our first sleeping bags from there and it was just a few years ago that I finally got rid of that sleeping bag. Now that was value!

Speaking of value...that is what this Galatians 5:22-23 NIV tells us today.

" But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."

Happy Tuesday and not more can be said except please re-read above.

Thursday March 21, 2013 and its 37.4 degrees outside and the sun today will make the temperature rise all the way up to 45 degrees. I am certainly glad spring has arrived!

Spring the season of new beginnings. God's way of shaking us up to renew ourselves. To change our ways and be anew. To not only search for the truth but to bear witness to the truth. To live like that spring plant that rose from the soil and grew towards the warmth and light of the sun. Day after day reaching higher and higher into the air until it matures into a beautiful spring flower. Radiant in color and hue as the light of the sun beams off its pedals. Bringing great joy to those that take the time to see its beauty......

Our life has a lot of parallels to that lowly spring flower. When we live in the light we can be seen by all. The glow of our life adds beauty and awe to those around us. The glow we give off is truth. Those that we encounter or take the time to be with us get to see the great beauty of the light. In the truth the light of life never dims as it matures. In fact some say it becomes more brilliant to those that know the truth. It even has been known to brighten the eyes of the lost and wayward....

Have you begun your spring yet?

"For many are called, and few are chosen."

Friday March 22, 2013 and its 29.0 degrees and with the help of full sun it will creep its way up to 55 degrees! Nice.

This will be weekend 1 of the college basketball madness. Game after game after game will roll through the various channels that are covering them. I watched a few games yesterday but gave in about 9pm and switched over to 'regular' TV in between reading that I do. I like college basketball but do lose interest when a #1 team plays a #16 team, or a #2 plays a #15. The best game are the ones where # 5 or #6 will lose to a lesser ranked team. Elite 8 and final 4 games make the tourney for me. The rest of the games are just fillers.

Speaking of fillers, I have some dirt to move around the property so I will be filling and moving.....

Monday March 25, 2013 and its a light drizzle 35.7 degrees outside heading on up to 52. Full day of rain yesterday and somehow it was fitting. A friend of my daughters father lost his battle yesterday to his courage fight of Leukemia. It was over a year battle. he had his wins and his loses. He was cure of the Leukemia but other complications got him. He was a true family man. Strong on faith. Always the ever present to lend a hand to help someone. He helped my daughter when she made the big move after college to the big city.

He loved basketball as a side job he was a referee for over 20 years. Picture of heath and still a young man when it hit him. I had only met him maybe three times but he was one of those people you meet in life that gives you great hope that good people are still around. I guess God needed another referee in the heaven.....

Seems like it rains on days the good people leave this earth as if to shed tears for the loss of them. His life might have been cut short but his legacy will live on though all the people he touched over the years. He will be missed by many and especially his three grown children and loving wife......

As we start this Holy Week its a great time to reflect on who we are are how we fit into the big plan. The plan maybe big and daunting but each and everyday we give back we make that plan a bit smaller.....

Quote of the day from Proverbs 11:25 NIV:

"Who refreshed others will be refreshed."

Happy Monday and will you make the big plan a wee bit smaller today? Its in your power to do so.

Tuesday March 26, 2013 and its 35.5 degrees outside heading on up to 55 degrees. Nice! It is spring just below normal, temperature wise that is. Also, nearly the end of March too! Seemingly flew by quicker than the 28 days in February. Each day is 24 hours but seem to be 4 hours loing while other seem to last 48 hours.....as they say and Frank Sinatra use to sing...'That's life!'

Spring break for the school kids is just around the corner. As a kid we never got a spring beak. We got Good Friday and Easter Monday off. That was our spring break. Oh the times have changed. I remember our classroom windows adorned in Giant Easter Bunnies and Eggs. All made by the 5th and 6th grade Art Classes for the school. This was also the week at home we made the colored Easter eggs. Tossing the colored pills into the cups with vinegar in them. Red, Blue, Yellow eggs and than the last ones were the tie-dye color ones. These were the ones where we dipped an egg into each color and than when we were done with that we would take all the left over colors and put them into one cup and dipped an egg or two into it. Funky color eggs for use. Was a fun family time.

I also remember in elementary public school getting a lesson on Jesus Passion and Resurrection. It was not in our text books but the teacher would spend a hour or so during the Holy week to explain to us Jesus fate. So, yes times have changed exponentially in our life time....for the better...You can be the judge of that.

Wednesday March 27, 2013 and its 44.4 heading on up to 55.5 maybe or just 55.0 or 55.3...either way it will be 55 and sunny! Heck 54 or 53.3 will feel just as well!

Short entry today as running behind today. Slow start for an ever quickening world. But it is a marathon and not a sprint. Hopefully a 26 + mile one and not a 13 or less one! But live in the 'Truth' and the miles will take care of themselves!

Thursday March 28, 2013 and its 32.6 heading on up to another 55 sunny degrees. The warm up has been slow and methodical, in fact we will have to wait until Saturday to break the 60 degree mark. Go Sun go!

Today is Holy Thursday for us Christians. It is the day of our Lord and Saviors Last supper with his Apostles. As a kid it meant the last day of school before the Easter break. It meant church in the evening. It meant the chocolate candy was not to far off!

As an adult it has much more meaning. It still means church in the evening but throughout the day I think about the Passion Christ will endure on Good Friday. How one man had taken all our Sins on and defeated them through his resurrection. In today's society he would not have been a Sports Star or a Rock Star, he would not be a President nor a Governor. He would not been a Hollywood Mogul or a Wall Street genius. He would not be any of the things our present society equates to fame and fortune or success for that matter.

He would of been as he was then a humble servant. He knew the truth and spread the truth to suspecting followers. He performed miracle after miracle yet the people that witnessed them turned out to been the ones that judged him. Yet on this Holy Thursday he broke bread with his disciples and said, Peace be with you!

That is a good a ending as I could ever think of, so I say; "Peace be with you!"

    Quote of the day from 1Timothy 2 5:6 NIV ;

"For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. "

Holy Thursday and keep Christ close to your heart!

Friday March 29, 2013 and its 51.1 sunny degrees outside heading on up to a projected high of 59 degrees. Hopefully we can squeeze a few more degrees to get up into the low 60's! Friday, Good Friday in fact. Over 2000 years ago the event that took place changed world history forever. One person's life has lead to billions and billions of followers. One person that stood for peace and truth and good had captured mankind. One person that defeated death through resurrection to atone for all our sins. That person was not just a person but was the son of God and is seated at God's right hand. Waiting to come again to judge the living and the dead. Something to ponder this Easter weekend.........are you ready?

Thursday April 4, 2013 and its 40.0 degrees outside with the rains coming in around mid day so the temperature will only climb to 54 degrees today. Rain to be heavy at times and that is A-Ok with me. My Garlic is just starting to pop out of the ground. My asparagus woke up too! Some new chutes are as they say growing up!

Took a few days off not to do anything in particular or go anywhere but just to be off to recharge the bodies batteries. They were run down too! But they are charged and ready to go to work. I caught up on my work items almost everyday I was out. Evening emails are the perfect way to top off a restful day.....not really but they sure help the first day back workload.

Friday April 5, 2013 and its cloudy and 41.1 degrees outside heading on up to 68 degrees. Sweet! Still a chance of rain today and chance it shall be!

Speaking of chances that is exactly what we took when we use to hike when we went camping. The lake we would camp at was a private lake where there was no home built around it for a few miles. It was a dirt road into it that was gated with a thick wire and a lock. Those that belonged to the Conservation Club at the time that paid yearly dues got the key. It was that simple. The lake did not allow any boats or flotation devices or any type of swimming. One could wade in with boots or sneakers to fish but that was about it.

In some instances it seemed like an area that time had forgotten. The lake had its share of big old snapping turtles we use to catch. One side of the lake was lined with a step bank that turned into a mountain. Never did walk around the lake due to that step rocky side. In fact they said it had a lot of rattler snakes in those rocks. But we walked all the other shore lines to get to some good fishing spots. There were some old docks people made over the years around the edges of the lake to fishing could be easier as in most areas the forest went right up to the lakes shores. The lake had a walking path around its edges that fisherman and hunters made walking its shoreline.

We were not even teenagers when we use to camp there and take hikes on those paths. As long as we kept the water in view we knew we were not lost. We would stop along the way and try our luck at the fishing. The lake had large patches of Lilly pads so one had to find areas to cast that were open and free of Lilly pads. Nothing like hitting on of those patched with a surface fishing lure and had a big ole Bass just jump up out of the water to take the lure! Needless to say that did not happen as often as we would like but when it did....WOW!

Other days we would hike on those paths just to see what we could find. We were young explores. We would see deer, skunks, porcupines, snakes, squirrels, birds, ducks, Wood chucks, Beavers, and the occasional fish we would catch. One end of the lake was a earth dam and on the one side the land would drop down into a valley and would form the basis for the stream that overflowed out of the lake. We would follow the stream for awhile to see what we could see. The lake would be out of sight but the stream would always lead us back to the lake so we were never lost. It was pretty cool to hike and explore at our age. Kudos's to Dad and my Uncle for having faith in me and my cousin at our ages to explore and learn on our own. I know today that that was a risk they took and that Mom would of never approved but they did....That is something I will never forget!

A many a walks were taken over the years we camped at that lake. Most times it was myself and my cousin and sometimes Dad and my Uncle would join especially if there were off to fish at one end of the lake or another. Sometimes the fishing would go till dusk which meant that by the time we got back to camp it would be dark....walking in the woods with just the light of the moon reflecting down and following a path can be interesting to say the least..........

Monday April 8, 2013 and its 52.7 outside and heading on up to 81 degrees. Have not typed 80+ degrees in a long time! But today is the the day I get too!

Hey where did the weekend go? Flipping calendar days! It jumped by fast. Got the oil changed in a couple of the vehicles. Got the boat opened up for the new season. Got more planted in the garden and watching the garlic growing! Also, watched the various birds busy building their nest. The Bluebirds were already feeding their young ones. The finches were still building their nest. Also, filled up the bird feeder and a lot of birds came to eat. All in all it was a great weekend!

When the weather changed to warmer days it made the school day last that much longer. They seemed to take forever till that bell rang out at 3:30PM and the school doors open to let us out. Immediately it was run, run, and run out the door, across the street and down the hill to our homes. Quick change and outside to play! Oh yea!!!!

Tuesday April 9, 2013 and its 56.3 degrees heading on up to 84 degrees. I can see clearly now......wait that is after the fog lifts! These were the days growing up that were....to wear a coat to school or not to rear a coat...that was the question. Kids answer, No. Mom's answer, Yes. Mom wins all ties!

So when we wore a jacket it always came home after school tied to our waist or we would forget it in the school coat room. We would go racing home after school and head in the door and Mom would say where's your coat? At that exact moment we knew exactly where our coat was but we would get a puzzled look on our faces and say coat....what coat? It was as if that word was foreign to us. Coat? Coat? Hmmm, never head of it!

The good thing in our day that coat we left in the school coat room or on the school playground was there the next day. No one took it. That is just the way it was. Call it morale's, or respect for others goods, or just that is not what we did in my generation, but those coats, hats, shoes, boots, umbrella's never disappeared. Now that is not to say we sure would not have missed them if they did. Some of those things were surely not a fashion statement!

Wednesday April 10, 2013 and its a nice 63.7 degrees outside heading on up to 86 toasty degrees today. May even hit 90 in some spots. Oh baby, baby!!! In the words of Ralph Kramden; "How sweet it is!"

Speaking of sweet. That is what see when I look at the garden coming up. The garlic is off to the great start. Some of the other items should be popping out of the soil this week with the warm temperatures. The grass is growing like weeds....wait a minute! Strike that as some of that growth is weeds. Let's just say the grass is growing well... Spring, what a great time of the year.

On a duller and sneezing thought it is allergy season and my car outside showed the first signs of pine tree pollen. Say it is not so.....but it is. The time in the south where instead of the snow flying we see the yellow pine tree pollen flying all around the place. If one ever seen the powder paint process where they charge a metallic part and float it through a powered paint booth and the paint dust flies around and sticks to the metal...well that is similar to all the stuff exposed to the pollen dust. It makes things yellow! But my mid May it is pretty much pollen itself out and the clean up begins. It does make for some interesting lawn cuttings as the pollen flys around while trying to cut the grass. It looks like one is Pig-Pen from the old Charlie Brown show. Pig-Pen walked around in a cloud of dust and dirt....that is me mowing the lawn at the height of the yellow pollen season. This year I shall wear a mask as last year I landed up coughing while mowing and that could not have been good.

But I would trade that for spring any day of summer, winter, and fall, that is for sure.

Quote of the day from your truly:

Thursday April 11, 2013 and its 63.8 degrees outside and heading on up to a pine tree pollen laden air filled 86 degrees today. Heavy man, heavy! A summer like day in store today indeed.

Here we are at Thursday already. Time waits for no man as they say or time waits for no one is more like it. But that's okay because its all about moving forward. The ironic thing is we seem to learn most when we are going backward in other words our setbacks and failures teach us the most if we listen. Its amazing what I learned when I used my ears to listen and not my mouth or hands. No wonder we were given the gift of two ears and only one mouth. Two arms and hands, one to always help ourselves and one to help our fellow man.

    What a design!

Friday April 12, 2013 and its a cloudy 66.8 degrees outside heading on up to a partial clearing of 81 degrees. The threat of Tornado's is twisting on out of here...as pun was intentional as I had to 'spin' something up in order to funnel your attention this morning.

Friday, aw had to type it again. Good thing about the rain this morning is it will knock down all the pollen into the air. Came out of work yesterday and thought I got hit with a 'Drive by' color change spray job. Car went to yellow! For a few weeks a year the pollen is really thick, driving home I seen clouds of it floating in the air.

Up north in the spring its the clouds of dandelion seeds blowing in the wind. Like white snow flakes. Dandelions were everywhere. Growing up I can't remember a single lawn that got treated. I think this was mainly due to living within the city and in the poorer section. I can remember on Saturday's getting out in the yard with Dad digging up those dandelions. Also, use to go with my Grandfather and pick certain types of dandelion leaves so he could make dandelion wine out of them. My grandfather was from Italy. Him and my grandmother came over to the US during the Depression and landed up going back to Italy until it was over. He was a carpenter and live was tough but the hope and trust in the new life in America was worth it. He fixed everything himself. He saved enough money to buy some land within the city and have a small farm. Raise chickens and garden vegetables. Trapped birds, rabbits, and squirrels to eat. Than the city bought the land from him for development purposes so my grandfather and grandmother moved to a small house with a small yard. The yard was basically a garden and he still trapped birds and rabbits. He no longer had a grape vine but out section of town almost everyone had a grape vine. The Italians had them for the grapes and the Lebanese/Syrians had them for the leaves. So, for my grandfathers wine making he never had a shortage of grapes. He also had one of those Loretto cigarette machines. I remember as a kid walking down the street to his house and sit and watch him make packs of cigarettes while my Grandmother would watch as the world turns on TV. Sometimes we would go down to his basement where he had a wood working shop set up. In fact him and my Dad made our kitchen cabinets in that basement over one winter. These cabinets were made from scratch. No plans just the measurements of our kitchen and what kind of cabinets Mom wanted. I remember sitting on the cellar steps and watching them as that was my spot. If I got up from there into the work area I was in the way, and oh boy I remember being in the way! I also did not learn Italian but my Dad and grandfather spoke it all the time being my Grandfathers English was not that good. They would talk, yell, discuss, mumble, and I am sure somewhere in there swear all in Italian! Then Grandma (Nona) would pop her head into the cellar way and say, "Bella", 'Bella"...that would be me. Upstairs I would go and get my checks pulled and hear more Italian and gain access to a large bowl of M&M's or Hersey kisses. My grandmother always had them on hand in the house.

Times have surely changed and my children did not that gift of family heritage as they grew up. My job took me to a few states and always away from our extended families. There is a lot to be said about kids being around their extended families and almost all of it is GOOD!

Quote of the day Thomas Jefferson:

" The most effectual means of preventing [the perversion of power into tyranny are] to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts which history exhibits, that possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be enabled to know ambition under all its shapes, and prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes."

Happy Friday and invest in yours and your families knowledge, the rewards are unmeasurable! Have a great weekend!

Monday April 15, 2013 and its 61.1 sprinkling degrees outside heading its was up to 77 degrees. Cloudy is the weather word for today! Gentlemen, open your umbrellas! It was a beautiful weekend weather wise. Sold my boat over the weekend after its water trial with the new owner!

Which reminds me of the small fishing boat my Dad and Uncle bought. They went in on it together being we always fished together. It was a 12 foot Myers boat with a 7.5 HP Sears outboard. No trailer, this was carried on the roof of ones car. How convenient! We went a many a lakes with that little boat. The essential for the fishing trip was boat, motor, oars, and gas tank, plus fishing poles. bait, and lunch! Caught a many of fish out of that boat.

That boat lasted for years and years, not sure what ever happened to that boat. My Uncle got sole possession of it and it sat on a couple of wood horses for the longest time. My Uncle had a neighbor that had an aluminum fishing boat that sat on wood horses for years and years before we even got our boat. My uncle could never understand why his neighbor jsut left that boat sit there year after year. Well, once we got our boat and used it and than used it less and less, it sat on horses in my uncles backyard. So, my uncle got his answer on why his neighbor boat just sat on those wood horses year after year!

Quote of the day, fitting for tax day too. Romans 13: 6-7 NIV:

"This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor."

Happy Monday, Tax day, or whatever it will be!!!

Tuesday April 16, 2013 and its 57.9 degrees outside heading on up to a party sunny 81 degrees. Nice! Can you believe we just passed mid April? Yowsers! The pollen is visible everywhere. Yellow clouds of it can be seen at a distance traversing the atmosphere looking for placed to perch upon...such as cars, patio's, and any other thing outside. Rain keeps it down and we are thankful for the little rain we got yesterday. Couple more weeks of this and it should all be history!

Speaking of history, I remember my sophomore year in high school and we had an elective called World Cultures. It was a fancy name for history so I thought and it was sort of. It actually was broken down into two sections. One was the history of India and the second parts was the history of China. Who would have guessed how important those two countries became today. Well, I tend to believe the people that put together the class certainly had an idea. It was an interesting class. Things I learned in that class stuck to me like the spring pollen sticks to my windshield. The teacher for the class was also my psychology teacher and he showed us the film Future Shock which was revolutionary at that time. Most of the shocking things they showed in that firm have come to pass. So in some ways people can predict the future and with some stunning accuracy.

But back to World Cultures class. This class did get us ready for college studies as part of the class grade we had to write by hand a 10 page report on the country we were studying at the time. Month after month, research, read, and rite...ops Write! It was argues and royal pain in the fingers but this is exactly what college turned out to be. Paper after paper. So this teacher was ahead of his time with the style on which he taught the class. He also would make us present our papers to the class on a rotating schedule. As there was not time for everyone to present their paper to the class each month. He even went as far as bring people into the class from the cultures we were studying. This was all done prior to the internet....imagine that! We say 8mm movie films on India and China, some even had sound!!!

The value of that class was not known to us 10th, 11th, and 12th graders until many, many years later. Today I am thankful for the class and the insight and challenge the teacher gave us......nice job!

Reflecting back I can't help to think that without the education we got which started at home with our parents we would not have been ready or mature enough to learn from a course like that. I know that that teacher that taught us World Culture would not be able to teach the way he taught us back then due to a variety of reasons. But maybe the most important one would be the loss of family structure and morals. Teachers today are no less enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and profound than they were back in my day but unfortunately in our culture today they have to be 'parents' before teachers. That my friends makes me very sad for our future.......

Quote of the day by Confucius:

"Every truth has four corners: as a teacher I give you one corner, and it is for you to find the other three."

Happy Tuesday and Confucius was certainly not confused when he said the above quote. Have you found the other three or are you waiting for them to be delivered to you?

Thursday April 18, 2013 and its 61.2 degrees heading on up to 84 degrees. Sweet! Goodness, yesterday flew by so fast I was not able to write my Blog. Now that is fast. Day started as everyday 5:15am roll out of bed, get ready, get set (enter car), and go! But yesterday never stopped....it was go go go till 5PM and head on home!

Today I made a point or maybe better stated time for keystrokes to the Blog. Number wise it is my 800th entry but really its 797 as I had three entries by others over the years. As in life some people wondered into the Blog and decided to ask a question or two and then they were gone. That's cool! This Blog really represents a Day in the Life of yours truly. Nothing more and usually less. It represents a opened time capsule of sorts of what it was like to me growing up many years ago. It represents hopefully something to ponder each day from my perspective and all the ones I quote. It represents some of the music of my day that played from the AM radio and than the FM side. It represents my fond and not so fond memories growing up which total far more than 800.

So I will keep this script rolling along as I surpass the 797 entry mark to hopefully put a smile on your face, a warmth in your heart, and an idea to ponder in your mind.....and last but not least a tune to tap your foot to or to get stuck in your mind to jog a distant memory of your childhood or adulthood that will bring a smile to your face.

A smile on ones face can light oh so many more....keep smiling it promotes healthy teeth and gums too!

Quote of the day from yours truly:

"Help, Hope, and Happiness, the three H's to Heal the Soul!"

Happy Thursday and Thank you from the bottom of my Soul for taking the time to read these entries and have a Blessed day!
