Unable To Activate The Color Options - About the Forum - City-Data Forum

For the past several days I have been unable to activate the color options in the thread I most frequently post in. I notice that I can activate it here.

Is there a reason ..... is it me or is it C-D? I have heard from others that they can't use it either....but then I see some who can and do.

If you're referring to the color of your text, you can go to the "Go Advanced" mode and the color chart will always show there.

But yeah, I see what you mean ...I can't activate it here without going to "Go Advanced" but I see that you obviously can. That's strange.

I had to use the Advanced option yesterday also. Not a big deal....I figured they had changed some of the options of the Quick Reply.

It seems to me they took away some colors such as red & orange. I suppose they did that so folks other than mods would quit using red in their posts.

The color choices now are faint hard to read I wonder about folks with eye sight problems. Even when I used the bold in a post the dark orange didn't really change much or get darker.

Oh gee I now have red & orange signal 9 my theory.

My colors are all there and working and as bright as they have always been.

It really looks like a browser issue. We haven't made any changes to the editing options recently.

That has happened to me several times before. Good to know I can just Go Advanced to get the colors!

yes, I agree, PJ8 ...it seems to happen periodically to me too. I don't find that it's a browser issue because I use several browsers and when it happens it doesn't matter what browser I use, the results are identical.

The one constant when this happens, though, is that the color selection has always been available in the "Go Advanced" mode.

So when or if this ever happens again, I think it's safe to say that you'll still be able to use colored text by going to the "Go Advanced" mode.
