I also agree! leave it the way it is.

OK, the poll is closed. The time limit will remain at 90 minutes.

Having a time limit is absurd. Who does that? Leave it up to the author as to whether or not it will be confusing.

Missed the poll, so obviously I'd had been voting to extend the edit time.

I hate reading back and discovering I've made a spelling mistake or that I could have articulated something better. I don't really understand why there's a limit on the time anyway. On other forums where there is no time limit on the edit I don't see a lot of abuse of the function.

Anyway way past the end of the poll but my 2cents anyway.

It would just be easier for the post owner to be able to modify his/her post instead of having to bother a mod every time. Of all the forums in existence, well over 90% do not have such a time limit. While I'm not saying C-D should follow what most of the other forums do, the lack of time limit must exist for a reason.

Would it be possible to see if the predicted "confusion aftermath" would indeed occur? For example, run the forum for a week without the time limit and see if it does cause more harm than good or not. Thanks.
