Is there a way to block direct messages from a particular member?

This person has been sending messages with strong language and and will not stop even after I've asked to be left alone.

I've seen how to turn off messaging altogether but I don't want to do that.

Help?...Thanks!

If you put the member on your Ignore List, it will block any messages sent from the person to you. It will also make their posts "invisible" to you, although you can always manually click on a post/thread to open and read it.

Thanks, I did both.

However, after I put them on ignore it looks like they can still send me messages I just have to click to read them?

No, you don't HAVE to read them. You can just ignore them.

Right but city-data still sends me a message saying I have a message and it just looks a little different from a normal message. Sure, I don't have to read them but I hope they quit coming.

You might want to check who is the sender. If you get a message from Administrator, senior mods, or moderators, you should read it.

I would hope a moderator wouldn't use the kind of language that is in these messages, lol. This is from a user who posted a racist link in a post that was Deleted and the thread locked and then decided to berate me via direct messages.

You should report that directly to Marka, no poster is supposed to send abusive messages or leave abusive rep comments. Regular mods can see who left a rep comment but we can't see the DMs.
