Why not do it like that? That way we could see in real time what forums have just been replied to.

You don't have an End key?
If you use the End key, you're at the bottom in a flash
Although first you have to be on the General Forums page, I think.

That box on the side gives the false impression of being updated and I always get fooled.

I have the side bar disabled......don't like it at all.....gives the forum a cramped, klunky feel and look, IMO.
I would rather go to the bottom of the page if I am interested.

Actually, I have that sidebar thingy disabled anyway, as I didn't like the look of the page when it was enabled.
Another quick way to look for recent posts is to just click on 'New Posts' up in the blue menu bar of each page.
