Hi, I just signed up to the forum. I noticed that my URL links look differently than other posters. When I post a link, it comes up as such:

Future US Immigration Projections

As opposed to blue text that I can click on when someone else posts a link.

Is this what's visible to my audience? Is this just what's visible to me?

Thanks

According to the FAQs at //www.city-data.com/forum/faq/9...rum-rules.html

"Creation of active links is enabled for users that have been here for more than three days and have a couple posts already."

There you have it. Thanks for pointing that out. I thought it was my browser acting up.

Welcome!!

We have had problems with spammers and such so we try to be careful before allowing clickable links to be posted (Makes the spammers mad)

I figured it had to be a safeguard of some sort. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a glitch on my end.

Thanks again!

In your reply you need to click on the blue ball and sunglasses icon and insert the url of your link in the slot that pops up..
Copying and pasting a link directly to a post doesnt work..

Yeah, I saw that bit in the FAQ section. It doesn't appear that feature is available to me just yet. I'll give it a couple days to see if that's the reason why the functionality is not available to me. Thanks though.

44 posts would seem enough participation that you should be allowed to post a link.. Maybe you got to get to 100
