To check for recent activity on threads or posts I've made, I click on my name up in the right corner, then click the "statistics" tab, then click the link to my posts or threads.
I don't mean to hijack your thread, but my question/suggestion is somewhat related to your post.
I was wondering if some kind of highlighted bar across the top of any given forum (or sub-forum) where a member has recently posted, would list a link to the threads that user posted in. That way, a member could quickly check the threads that he/she might have an interest in reading/following-up on.
I click at the top bar which says "Subscribed Forums".
I also go through "Subscibed Threads" in the "Quick Links" drop down.
Been doing that for 10+ years on vBulletin forum software.
Thank you for your suggestions.
Are Subscribed Threads listed in date/time order, or sorted by forum or thread name? Are their drop down arrows on each column in the "Subscribed Threads" section that allow a user to sort the displayed info?
I'm seeking some kind of sub menu within each forum which includes links to threads I've recently posted in . The subscribed forums is just a long list of various forums/threads all mixed together in date order.

Subscribed Threads are listed in date/time order, not by Forum. If they are dark blue, it's unread. Pale blue means no new posts.
The little arrow on the left side indicates you have posted in that thread. If you hover over the arrow, it'll tell you how many times you posted and the last date you posted. Capture.JPG
