You cannot possibly compare Morocco with any other country in Africa.I have spent many vacations there.
The people are fantastic, for light and colors it is THE place for professional photographers, the food there is number 1, historical sites are nothing like in Fes, Marrakesh, Chefchaouen, Rabat, Meknes, Tangier, etc...The beaches are out of this world on both coasts!
Americans are very well liked in Morocco, and the friendship between morocco and the US goes back to 1776
Morocco was the first country in the world to recognize the united state as a new independent country.
Hotel stay is very reasonable, shopping is the best (but you need to negotiate better price, but not ridiculous one). There are more than ten million tourists who come to visit Morocco every year.
Do not go to visit during the month of Ramadan, and if you do, you must respect the country's old culture of fasting during that month.
You can make many friends from around the world there, a friendly, moderate religiously speaking, fun, and you will want to visit again and again if you make it there.
Morocco is a safe place to visit, the security services keep a real close eye on the country and its guests.
I have an acquaintance that went to Morocco a few years ago. All he has to say are good things of the place. He spent most of his time at Casablanca. He went there because one of his friends from college and with whom he kept in touch with was getting married and invited him to attend the ceremony.
I’m not sure if he has been back, but recently he was racing in the French competition that races through several countries in Northern Africa in several days. The guy bought a small car for that and put stickers of his country of origin (Dominican Rep) and of every country he passed through.
I like Tunisia and Algeria very much! Morocco is difficult to compare as it other African countries.
What do you mean? You don't like Morocco as much as Tunisia and Algeria? Or are you saying Morocco is culturally different compared to other African countries?
We visited Tangier on a day trip from Spain. Reminded me of a crappier version of Tijuana. No interest in going back.
Cape Town I would love to revisit!
Friends who did a couple of weeks on tour in Morocco said they were mostly bored.
Am trying to say that Morocco is Morocco and cities within Morocco should be compared to one another. Morocco is BEAUTIFUL and has a lot to offer. I can't compare buildings, accomodations, and food in Morocco to places in Tunisia or Algeria. Tunisia and Algeria are also beautiful places. Tunisian cities should be compared to Tunisian cities and Algerian places should be compared to Algerian cities. Few things I can compare and one being futbal.
