I went to this park, a part of Cuyahoga Valley National Park, and I was absolutely amazed. I didn't even know it was there! It is such a scenic place, with beautiful aromas and nice paths. It is located in Peninsula, not too far off of 303. I highly recommend looking up directions to this park if you live in Northeast Ohio. It is a wonderful place! Has anyone ever been here?

I spent many days in the late 60's and early 70's hiking and climbing on the rocks, and there used to be a wooden toboggan slide that would end up sliding across lake Kendal uncontrollable. I moved out of state and 25 yrs ago and returned here for my retirement . thanks for waking me up to some great memories .....I may try a hike...the sunsets from the ledges are beautiful !

I also used to play there as a kid in the '70s. Neat ledges to climb and great swings. And good hills for sledding in the winter. Another fun park I used to enjoy as a kid was "the gorge" in the Falls. We played on the mossy (and dangerously slippery) rocks under the reservoir and then hike the "upper trail" among the ledges all the way up to the "high level bridge". Great memories.

Wow, you guys are blowing my mind. Same places, same time, same memories. Wonder if we passed each other on one of the trails. The toboggan chutes were awesome!

Nearby or within the park, I can recall around the late 70's, there were these beautiful rolling grass hills. As kids, we got the biggest kick out of running and rolling uncontrollably down the hills! It was an awesome time! Does anyone else know where Im referring to?

those were the hills for sledding in the winter,as I recall they seemed the sled ride down the hill lasted forever.......and the walk back was also forever we would get so tired we would only get 2 or 3 trips per night.
