Right now I am looking at Hudson, Twinsburg & Aurora (maybe Solon). They all have good schools (which is very important to me). What are the differences between these areas?

I know housing is more expensive for the square footage in Hudson & Solon (Solon looks like they have older houses) & I think taxes are more.

Also does anyone know of any new construction in these areas? I would be interested in new neighborhoods- those are harder to find out online when searching.

Thanks for your help.
Now we're getting somewhere :-) (rubbing hands together)

Housing is more expensive in Solon and Hudson. They're 2 communities that are more or less "built out." You'll find an array of housing available in Hudson, from pre-1900 to 1990s maybe 2000s. Solon has a lot of 1960-1990, but you can maybe find some new subdivisions on the fringes of town, i.e. Signature of Solon. Hudson and Solon are established communities, with good schools and higher taxes. Hudson has better shopping in my opinion, but Solon is more diverse and closer to Cleveland. Hudson is closer to Akron. I love Hudson A LOT, but people there are kinda snobby, and the schools reflect that. Solon is more middle-class, upper-middle-class. Hudson is a very unique American community, absolutely beautiful and New-Englandy in the center of town, with homes from the late 1800s.

Twinsburg and Aurora are newer communities. Very little pre-1950s housing, most of the housing would be 1990-today. Twinsburg has better highway access to Cleveland. Both have a good amount of shopping (but Aurora has a nice outlet shopping village.) Twinsburg is more diverse than Aurora, and more populated.

I like all four communities, but I don't have kids, and all three are a little "removed" for me from central Cleveland, but I really enjoy going to downtown Hudson and the little shops and restaurants in town, and Aurora outlet shopping once a year. Let me know if I can answer any more questions :-)

North Canton is the best school district in the Canton area, and one of the top rated in the state.
