I have a large Sony Trinitron TV (too big for me to lift) that has died after 13 years of service. Does anyone know of a trash removal service that will come and get it, and won't charge me an arm and a leg?

Hmmm that's tough, especially since there is usually a cost to dump or recycle the tv itself.

You could try placing it on craigslist or freecycle maybe? I'm sure there is somebody out there that would take nearly anything for free.

From what I see on your town's website, your regular trash hauler (Kimble aka J&J ) will pickup a TV for a $5.00 additional charge. See page 3, item# 7, and the last page, of this webpage.

If you need help getting it to the curb, pay a neighborhood teenager $5
