Pokemon Go Player in the area? (Kent: neighborhood, university, gyms)

I don't play the game very much, and probably never will (I'm level 14 and have not yet joined a team), but I'm curious to hear from people who are playing the game. What team are you on? What level are you? What notable experiences have you had with the game so far? Are there any real-life clubs or gatherings of players in the area? Are you actually meeting any new real-life friends via the game? Kent and Kent State University seem to be very active in the game.

As a philosopher, I'm also interested in the long-term social/economic consequences of these games that mix virtual reality and real life. Given the success of Go, I'm sure there will be plenty of similar new games in the near future. I don't have a very good sense, yet, of whether the trend will be for the better or worse, but I'm fairly certain that it will have notable impacts over time.

I finally joined a team: I picked Instinct because I couldn't resist the appeal of being an underdog, although of course it means there aren't a lot of friendly gyms to train in. I am hoping that I will eventually meet other players and, perhaps, gain a few new friends along the way.

Personally I haven't met anyone while playing. But then again, I just normally play it while taking my dogs for a walk around the neighborhood. Just go to some pokestops in Kent and I'm sure there will be people playing there. Good luck!
