My family is considering moving to Monroe Falls. My husband and I are an interracial couple. We are fairly young and are both highly educated. I'm from Northeast Ohio but I don't know much about the Monroe Falls area and I'm wondering how welcome we will be here. Can anyone offer any insight?

Firstly, it's Munroe Falls.
Although I haven't lived in Stow for quite awhile, it's proximity to Kent, Cleveland and Akron makes me pretty confident that you would fit in great.

My now wife lived in Munroe Falls for a few years while we were dating in early 200s and it was a great area to live in. I do not think you would have any issues living there. We loved their Rocking on the river events they did there on Friday nights in the summer.

The one said part of that area is the decline of the Chapel Hill Mall which was great back then, but now, many stores closing and gang issues around it.

An area just north of there called Hudson, in my opinion is even a better place to live. Love their downtown area. It is a higher rent district, but I think it is worth it.

I think you'll be fine. Especially in Stow. Hudson is a nice place, probably the safest in the area, but I'm unsure of the diversity. We are in Stow, and although it's not as diverse as areas near Cleveland, we find that we fit in okay.
