We are looking for a house to rent in the Hudson, Stow, Streetsboro,Tallmadge area with 3 to 4 bedrooms. I work at G.M.and my wife is going to Kent state so we are looking for an area in between Akron and Lordstown with good schools. About $900 range.

You can find some really good ones around your price range in Cuyahoga Falls. It is close to Kent State and also right by Route 8 to get to the turnpike to heads towards Lordstown. Cuyahoga Falls Schools were rated "excellent" by state as well.

I found my place now by craigslist. Also drive through the residential streets, there are a lot of places for rent right now.

There are two major (reputable) hotels downtown, the Quaker Square (which is now partially used to house university students) and the Akron City Centre Hotel. Neither allow pets. The Courtesy Inn (west Market, just west of downtown) might, but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone - not a very good place.

Thus, I'd check with the chain hotels that are located off the various highways around Akron. Here's a general breakdown of them (distances are driving distances):

* I-77 exit 120 (about 8-10 minutes south of UA) - several chains, such as Red Roof, Holiday Inn Express, Comfort Inn, Quality Inn, Hampton Inn, Fairfield Inn, etc.
* Route 8 at Howe (about 8-10 minutes north of UA) - Country Inn & Suites
* Route 8 at Broad/Portage Trail (about 8-10 minutes north of UA) - Sheraton Suites (kind of pricey, as it's more formal)
* I-77 exit 137 (about 15 minutes nw of UA) - numerous chains, such as Comfort Inn, Courtyard, Fairfield Inn, Radisson, Holiday Inn, Red Roof Inn, etc.
