I'm glad they're paying him a million dollars per quarter, if it gets the team to play the whole game... (referring to past years when the team only seemed to play three quarters).

If he keeps winning, Alabama will pay him whatever he wants... plus a bonus...

I think so too....apparently he has a very close relationship with his wife and they knew they made a big mistake going to the NFL and Miami. It took her urging to get him to admit to himself that he made a big mistake...

I went to an Alabama football event two weeks ago here where Cecil Hurt of the Tuscaloosa News spoke.

The UofA Board is going to evaluate three proposals in the Spring to finish the stadium...fill in the upper deck of the south end zone.

This will bring capacity to somewhere around 104,000.....Dr. Witt is doing a wonderful job for our university. The students worship him...he is an open door type of guy. He is very sensitive to the complaints made by students, faculty and staff that there are not enough tickets for everyone who wants to attend and his primary motivation in doing the final expansion is to satisfy all of them.

I'd support Langford building a 200,000 seat dome in Bham for UA / AU games

I fully expect our bottom level Tide Pride "contribution" to jump this year (we sit in the south endzone)...and again next year. I agree with you on Dr. Witt, although I have a friend who hates his guts - but then, she hasn't liked any president since Dr. Denney! I was very impressed with him when one of his first actions was the removal of Coach Price. He did not hesitate, and for that, I am grateful. Roll Tide!

I have a lot of friends who graduated around the same time I did (1978) who have children down there now....they have taken the campus tour of the academic, dining and dormatories. They all RAVE about how everything looks...and I am hearing a lot of very good reviews about the bus system. just flash your student ID and go....reduces car traffic and is safer too....

The best thing that ever happened to us was when Andy Sorensen left to take "a better job" at South Carolina. He is not well liked there and we get Witt who is a whirlwind....
