The kids can simply remind the parents that they set the precedent that it's ok to disobey a rule when it's inconvenient or annoying. I guess "law and order" only applies to everybody else.
Which state has passed a law mandating masks? I am unaware of any.

I don't know about other states but in Alabama it's called the Alabama Emergency Management Act. I'm pretty sure the mask ordinance reference the specific section that authorizes the governor to implement mask orders.

No. The Governor has no such authorization. Even if she did, that's not how laws work. Governors can't unilaterally create laws.

They are generally known as executive orders. Governors put them into effect quite frequently, particularly in emergency situations where the legislature cannot move quickly enough.

An "executive order" is not a law. The legislature is designed to move slowly. That's the whole point, so that we don't have these type of situations with wanna-be tyrant Governors issuing edicts.

I can understand feeling that we may have been in an "emergency situation" last Spring when there were still so many unknowns. But a FULL YEAR has gone by. It is beyond obvious that there is no emergency. Anyone who says otherwise is either trying to exploit an opportunity or is a useful idiot.

Idk the loss of half a million Americans is a pretty substantial emergency if you ask me.

Roughly 2.5-3 million Americans die each year, but you're right. This is definitely an unprecedented emergency.

I propose we put a stop to death, and let's use the power of Government to get it done!

Do you have a citation for this wildly outlandish, nonsensical, and scientifically unproven claim?

It's basic laws of probability. You can also just blow through your mask and try to blow out a match/lighter, likely you won't be able to
