No one does yoga in the name of Hinduism. They do it for relaxation. This should not be a religious issue. Nearly all of us have done some form of Yoga and are any of us Hindus? No

Then why call it "yoga"? Why is the president of the Universal Society of Hinduism (Rajan Zed) weighing in on the issue (link) - in a particularly condescending manner, I might add - if it's religiously neutral?

There are plenty of other ways to relax and stretch other than yoga.

Yes. Halloween (October 31st) is a Christian holiday as it is the eve before All Souls Day.

Same reason why Christians have to weight in on anything that happens in schools. 99% of people have no idea that it even has any derivative of Hinduism. I wasn't even aware until I started reading more upon it. Do you think that Halloween shouldn't be allowed in school since its much more known that it derived from Pagans?

Bible classes are allowed in Alabama already, so why can't there be yoga classes?

Halloween didn't derive from pagans. It's a Christian holiday, the eve before All Souls Day.

I would not object to students praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory on Halloween, as that is the Christian way to celebrate Halloween.
