On the surface I think it would work but I'm skeptical that exceptions would be put into place. Can't put exceptions in at the pump. Plus this would be a double tax on those still driving IC engines.

Would rather see the taxation occur at the charging stations for the electric vehicles. They would need to be metered separately from the person's home or business.

Huh, I had no idea that Biden was willing to put it to test, only heard a few midwest states piloting this program. Anyways It would difficult to meter if you charge your car at home

I already get double taxed since I own PHEV in Alabama. I get to pay an extra $200 per year (just like it's a full EV), while still paying gas taxes.
