My wife was at a gun show in Houston this weekend and heard numerous comments about some new Alabama gun laws. She didn't bust into their conversations and I haven't been able to find anything on the net about any such changes/additions. Anybody able to help?

I would like to know this as well.
We have gotten our CCW from Florida and I know Alabama is reciprical (sp?).
However, what are the laws and such?

Also, are there any good gun ranges, either indoor or outdoor that we can go to?
Sorry for the thread hijack, just curious.
Tracy

If you are coming into Alabama on I-10 out of Pensacola, there is an outdoor range on the right that can be seen from the interstate. It is just before you get to the first exit in Alabama. Simply exit and head back east on paved road. Range is down on the left.

There is an indoor range between Daphne and Fairhope on the East side of Highway 98, in conjunction with a gun store. The strip mall (small) is below road level on the left as you head south. I have never shot there so don't know what the facility offers.

The only change I heard about was last July and it had to do with concealed weapons permit. The cost went up a little.

Hopefully someone will know if something else changed.

I paid about $15 for my concealed pistol permit in July. The law is Title 13A-11-70 through 84, code of AL.
