Before anyone jumps on my for violating rules this is not my property...I just noticed it in craigslist and it looks interesting.

Here is the craigslist ad 4.98 Acres Semi-Remote w/Creek Frontage Near Red Shirt Lake (http://anchorage.craigslist.org/for/1925796268.html - broken link) Says he'll take $5K cash for over 4 acres on Fish Creek.

Here is a location map if the link works. " + theTitle + "

You can zoom in and out on that map to see where it is.

Walk in , snowmachine in etc.

Seems like a lot of people buy this remote land and never use it. Do they consider it an "investment?" Not sure what he paid, but the return doesn't seem like it could be that great given the asking price.

Partial trades might be considered, but need at least $5000 in cash. Not interested in owner financing.
The way I am reading this is that the asking price is much higher. The seller wants at least $5000 cash if it is a trade deal..

I guess I read it wrong, it says $8,500 and he needs at least $5000 in cash.

This is about what it's worth. People aren't willing to pay more than this because properties like this are so hard to access.

But once you get there it would be pretty nice.

Hummmmm, looks like from the map that the creek isn't exactly on the property, but rather, close by, on someone elses property.
