OK, wtf? What is with this "idjit" thing? I had first seen Met using it all the time, and now it seems like everyone who posts here uses the word. For some inexplicable reason, I can't stand it, but hey, what can ya do? Is that something that is common to hear in Alaska? Sounds much more like something I would hear back home in Alabama (and have in fact heard quite a bit back home in Alabama). And yes, I do know that it means "idiot".

Not everyone. Just those incapable of spelling or using a spell-checker. It is almost as bad as people who use "ya" for "you."
