Seriously, here's a hint for you: if you would have read my original posts you would have seen that I lived in Wasilla. I know what its like. You should not be saying what I know or don't know.
Yes, completely and utterly clueless. I do not know where you lived, but it was not in Wasilla. From your own post it is very obvious that you never left the damn highway and did not have a clue about Main Street or the Wasilla downtown area.
"What you saw of Wasilla along the Parks is about it."
That has to be one of the most ignorant posts I read all week.

Like I said, you should not be giving anyone advice about things you obviously know nothing about.

That is because you never get off the Parks Highway.

What we have here are a bunch of clueless idiots who think they know something about a town they only see in passing from the highway.

Wasilla has a downtown that is stereotypical of every US small town, with a Main Street, City Hall, and other buildings that everyone associates with small towns.

Palmer has a larger downtown area primarily because it has a slightly larger population, but to say Wasilla does not have a downtown is both moronic and a lie.

Its OK everyone! I will get off the Parks when I get up there and see what I can find! At this point, it will be a total surprise.

I was just curious, since we really didn't get off the hwy in Wasilla, aside from our hotel. It was not a planned stop on our itinerary, so we didn't have time to see anything.

I said, 'personally' I don't consider either place to have a downtown. It all looks the same and what is the big deal about having a downtown.

As you can tell from this thread, Wasilla is not the destination for most people. They drive down the Parks Highway, see all the businesses that line the highway, and erroneously assume there is nothing more to the town.

This is good site that will show you some of the things that most people never see as they drive through Wasilla: Walking In A Wintry Wasilla | Alaska At Sunrise

You assume too much. I lived there for 7 years total. 2 years in Wasilla and 5 years out at Pt. Mac.

Ever hear of being civil or diplomacy? Many people in this forum lack that.

I'm outta here. Good riddance.
