A comparable new civilian parka would be over $100. As a bonus we even occasionally find money in pockets once a $20. When we go with our kids they go through all the pockets in the clothing. They have found quite a bit of cash. They give all they find to charity.

You do not necessarily need down a good quality synthetic is just as good. Getting the parka a little too big will allow you to layer. Don’t worry about being fashionable anything that keeps you warm is in fashion in the village.
Love surprise money! I will check that out when I get to Anchorage

I am going to be going straight to Fairbanks when I get to AK, so I can fly to the village and drop off the dogs and see my family. I am already filling a cooler full of goodies to take to them, so I think I will do some shopping at Big Rays while I am there.

I didn't bother clicking on it after I ran my mouse over the link and saw it was a .au site. I thought it was spam because I am fairly sure that I am not going to find Arctic clothing down under.LOL

Did you see any coats or parkas on it? Any winter clothing at all? Did you think shipping from Australia to Alaska would be cheaper then the already ridiculous cost of shipping from the lower 48 to Alaska?
