Ravenwood or Aspenglow? (Anchorage, Eagle: schools, relocating to, ratings)

Hello, I may be relocating to the Anchorage area and am looking at schools for my 9 year old daughter to attend. I am thinking of making Eagle River my target location as the schools seem great and it is near by the job I am up for. I was hoping to get some insight on which school would be the best fit for us.

The school in Minnesota that my daughter attended K-2 was set up something similar to a Montessori school in that it groups two grades together into "Colonies" which were large rooms with tables where students worked with teachers 3-4 at a time and progressed at their own rate on their academics. There were no desks or classrooms. My daughter is also very bright and tests above average and high in all of her subjects.

I've looked at both schools websites and "Great Schools" ratings and see they both recieve a "10" which is fantastic. I also see that while Ravenwood is rated the #1 school in the district, Aspenglow's test scores are actually higher than Ravenwoods. I also see that Aspenglow offers snowshoeing which is pretty neat

Academics is our number one priority, but a close second is the creative emphasis and a nurturing environment. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!! I am also interested in hearing about some of the charter or Montessori schools in the area if anyone has any other school we should know about and consider. Thank you!!
