I just wanna move closer to Washington DC so I can bask in the glow of Obama's awesomeness. I'm sure his glow will keep me warmer then my rusted out pine cone stove.

Well, I am not moving out of Alaska, nor do I want to. But I listen to local radio-talk shows, and according to some callers some of the reasons they have for moving out of Alaska are as follows:

a. To expensive to live up here on fixed incomes, because of lot of their money is spent trying to stay warm during the long winter months (heating fuel is quite expensive).

b. Tired of the cold weather..

c. Getting closer to the rest of their families and children in the lower-48.

d. Or just getting closer to other family members to take care of each other and hopefully improve the overall financial status of the whole family.

People come and go for a bunch of reasons like Ray said family and expensive to live.

But Alaska is a place that has a drawing card for people to come here and love the place and others can't leave fast enough.

I figured I will be buried here, lost at sea, or chash my Plane into the Mountains and get covered by a Glacier (when they start back up with Global cooling). Needless to say this is home and I'm not leaving without a fight!

Now I don't mind if others skidattle out, means just more room for those that like it here!

When I was a kid, Alaska had about two hundred thousand people, now it is closer to Seven Hundred thousand. Getting a bit crowded nowadays!

So you looking at coming or going?

I told my wife to hand my ashes to my hunting partner so that he can dump them along the hunting trail we spend time at each moose season. Maybe my ashes can fertilize the blueberries by the trail?

I was just there. I experienced an earthquake, traffic, and drove away before the hurricane....but I did not see this glow you speak of. I guess I was not looking closely enough.
